Devils Lake State Parks consist of three park and recreation areas in north central North Dakota on Devils Lake, the state's largest natural body of water. The park system includes: Grahams Island State Park, the largest and most developed of the three state parks on the lake. Shelvers Grove State Recreation Area, popular with overnight visitors traveling Highway 2 through northern North Dakota. Black Tiger Bay State Recreation Area, a boat access area with ramp and parking. The three areas provide a wealth of recreational opportunities for fishing, boating and nature watching. Grahams Island and Shelvers Grove are also popular camping spots.

The colorful North Dakota badlands provides the scenic backdrop to the park which memorializes the 26th president for his enduring contributions to the conservation of our nation's resources. The park contains 70,448 acres divided among three units: South Unit, North Unit and the Elkhorn Ranch Unit. In the park you will find badlands, open prairie, hard wood draws, bison, prairie dogs and other wildlife, the Little Missouri River, and a past history that includes Theodore Roosevelt.
